‘Feijoada’ is a traditional Brazilian stew of black beans and pork, usually served with rice, shredded kale, orange slices, and other side dishes. Inspired by this dish name, Julia Nascimento and Felipe Kolb Bernardes took the beginnings of their names to create FE&JUada Comics, a two-year slice of life collaboration project depicting their life and adventures as foreigners in Japan. Satirical and light-hearted, the comic also portrays the hardships of making a comic itself.
